Dr. Mark Oppenheim is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon who is passionate about delivering patient-centered care. From the moment patients walk through the door, he is dedicated to ensuring they and their families feel comfortable, informed, and well cared for.

Originally from Upstate New York, Dr. Oppenheim earned his undergraduate degree in Government and Legal Studies at Bowdoin College in Maine, where he also competed on the football and golf teams. He went on to complete his dental training at Rutgers University in New Jersey, where he graduated at the top of his class and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.

Dr. Oppenheim completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Louisville, where he also earned his medical degree and completed a general surgery internship. His comprehensive training included experience in complex dental implant cases, anesthesia, facial trauma and reconstruction, maxillofacial pathology, corrective jaw surgery, TMJ surgery, cleft and craniofacial surgery, and facial cosmetic procedures.

Dr. Oppenheim is a staff surgeon at St. David’s and AdventHealth and serves as an attending surgeon at Baylor Scott & White. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the American Medical Association, the Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Oppenheim enjoys spending time with his wife, Stephanie—an Active-Duty Army General Dentist at Fort Cavazos—and their two young sons. In his free time, he enjoys skiing, tennis, playing guitar, and traveling with his family.
